Solder sleeves

A solder sleeve is a small, cylindrical piece of plastic with a ring of tin used to solder electronic components together. It is placed between two components and then heated with a hot air gun, melting the tin, shrinking the plastic cylinder and bonding the components. Solder sleeves are available in a variety of diameters and lengths to meet different soldering needs.

Soldering wires is a complex skill that is not common to everyone. It takes time and a dose of skills to solder well. Fortunately, there is a wonderful alternative, very simple and quick way to connect the wires with a special heat shrink tubing with low temperature solder. Let's see how they are used to achieve the same reliable core separation as with traditional soldering.

These solder sleeves consist of two components
1. heat shrink tubing with water resistant hot melt adhesive
2. (solder) tin

How to use
1. Expose the cores of both cables (strip 1 cm)
2. Place the veins in the sheath on both sides
3. Use an air blower and point it at the shrink tubing
4. Now the solder flows over the exposed wires
5. Let it cool down and check if the cable is tight
6. You have just made a watertight connection between two cables in a short time.
